One of the many reasons to come to Elephant Butte is our lake. It is so much fun! Our lake is breath-taking and the fishing is for the whole family. We have Black bass (largemouth & smallmouth), White bass, Striper, Crappie, Perch, Walleye, Catfish, Sunfish, Bluegill and Carp. There are several places to rent a kayak, fishing boat, ski boat, or a house boat on which you can watch the sunset at the end of the day.

Have you heard about our our golfing? 18-hole championship course Sierra del Rio at Turtleback Mountain Resort has a golf pro to help perfect your swing and one of the best pro shops in the Southwest.

Another thing is for certain, we have GREAT FOOD! Buffets, fast food, slow food, family restaurants, steaks, fish, food with music, outside dining and water-view restaurants.
