The races start at 9:00 am and we are off the water by 3:00 pm or thereabouts. We race all watercraft from PWC's to day cruisers to pontoon boats, so come see what yours can do! Saturday's is Qualifying & Declaring, and Sunday is Eliminations & Awards!

This 6th annual event begins with a POW/MIA service at Damsite Restaurant Patio. Decorated boats meet at Damsite to start the boat parade at noon. At 12:30 the boats pass by the main boat ramp at Marina del Sur for wreath toss and playing of taps. Everybody is invited to decorate their boats, RV's or campsites and join the parade honoring those who've served in the military.

This annual event began in 1991 & unites volunteers who love to fish with disabled & disadvantaged children for a day of fishing in the outdoors.  Free for participants, park admission fees apply for spectators.

4th Annual Shakin' the Dam Poker Run  Join us for a fun-filled day (or 3) on the lake & win some great prizes while you're at it! All boats are welcome. Poker Run registration is Saturday at Marina Del Sur from 8-10:30am, followed by a MANDATORY drivers meeting at 10:45am. Registrants receive goodie bags, playing hands, dinner, and event t-shirts, and a Poker Run DVD. Register at www.lakeracerllc.com. Cost: entry plus park entrance fee. The Elephant Butte Float and Fun Fly  Bring your radio controlled float planes, fun-fly planes and trainers - or just bring yourself and your family for a day of fun! Flying contest on Saturday morning with open flying, demonstrations in the afternoon, a flying contest for float planes, raffles, & outstanding prizes for contest winners.  Pilot's registration is at 8am; try one of our trainers in the afternoon. Instructor pilots and trainer aircraft will be on hand. Cost: regular park entrance fee.

Elephant Man Triathlon

An intermediate distance triathlon comprised of a 1.0 mile swim, 26.5 mile bike & 6.0 mile run.  Expanded field allows for 350 entrants.  $75 for individual participants, $125 for relay teams.

In 1914 the town of Palomas Hot Springs formally changed its name to "Hot Springs".  Celebrating its history as a Hot Springs destination for almost 100 years, the City of Truth or Consequences is holding its second "Hot Springs Birthday Party"!  The Historic Hot Springs District will hold a street fair style block party featuring live music, vendors, historical displays, and an opportunity to dangle your toes in our famous hot mineral springs.
