This 6th annual event begins with a POW/MIA
service at Damsite Restaurant Patio. Decorated
boats meet at Damsite to start the boat parade
at noon. At 12:30 the boats pass by the main boat ramp at Marina del Sur
for wreath toss and playing of taps.
Everybody is invited to decorate their boats,
RV's or campsites and join the parade honoring those who've served in
the military.

The Elephant Butte Float and Fun Fly
Bring your radio controlled float planes, fun-fly planes and trainers -
or just bring yourself and your family for a
day of fun! Flying contest on Saturday morning with open flying,
demonstrations in the afternoon, a flying contest for float planes,
raffles, & outstanding prizes for contest winners. Pilot's
registration is at 8am; try one of our trainers in the afternoon.
Instructor pilots and trainer aircraft will be on hand. Cost: regular
park entrance fee.

On the last Saturday of every month, the Recycle Center accepts rinsed
and crushed aluminum cans, flattened corrugated cardboard, computers,
printers, hard drives, scanners and copy machines, glass (rinsed),
magazines, catalog & other slick paper, newspapers, phone books, clean
plastic #1 thru #7, mixed paper (junk mail, etc.), and paperboard (tissue
& cereal boxes, etc.) 10am -
2pm, Recycle Center, 601 Nadyne Court, Williamsburg
(turn right at the Conoco Station and go past WNMU) |

1914 the town of Palomas Hot Springs formally changed its name to "Hot
Springs". Celebrating its history as a Hot Springs destination for
almost 100 years, the City of Truth or Consequences is holding its
second "Hot Springs Birthday Party"! The Historic Hot Springs
District will hold a street fair style block party featuring live music,
vendors, historical displays, and an opportunity to dangle your toes in
our famous hot mineral springs.
